Security (or first things first)

 I'm not sure what browser you are using to read these words or which site this is being read on.  I do know that many blogging sites are infested with the worst sorts of ads though.  I wouldn't mind ads all so much if they did not prove to be such a consistent source of malware.  But here we are. So I'd like to recommend a few addons or extensions that will hopefully make your time reading these posts easier and improve your overall web experiences.  You will have likely heard of some of these already but if you have not yet installed these addons you are encouraged to do so now! Introduction

I've been told that I should start a blog so I have.  I'm hoping to use it as a way to organize some of my thoughts, share some of the things I'm interested in and which I find interesting.  I may also rant and rave a bit about this bit of history or that bit of how I remember things in the early days of the web.  I hope it might be interesting to you.  I am assuming with some vanity that what I put here may be interesting to others. For the most part though this is a place for some of my interests, from Linux to emulation to various techs that I have used, wish to have used and hope to one day own.  I expect this to swiftly become an offshoot of my bookmarks and a place to link videos from YouTube I like.  I want to write here with an aim of improving my ability to communicate as I do so.  Getting those 1,000 bad pages out of me so that by the time I write page 1,001 I am doing so much better than when I started.
